“All Muslims leave… we only want to kill non-Muslims” Gunmen massacre at least 22 in Kenyan shopping mall after releasing anyone who could prove they were Islamic by reciting a prayer.
This is according to a news report by the daily mail. Surely its a dark day for peace loving Kenyans were ambushed by unknown assailants while going about their activities at the up market Shopping Mall, Westgate in Westlands Nairobi. Social media has been a buzz with the hashtags #westgate #westgateattacks carrying the order of the day. Kenyans too have been urged to donate blood to assist injured victims across multiple hospitals that include, The Aga Khan Hospital, MP shah Hospital, Avenue Hospital, Nairobi Hospital and Kenyatta Hospital. Tomorrow sunday 22 there will be a blood donation drive at Kencom area in Nairobi CBD. The overwhelming response to Kenyans by Kenyans is to be emulated since it was a bee hive of activities of ferrying the injured to hospital and evacuating others to areas of less or no risk. I personally denounce this offensive to our Nation and I have my fingers crossed and incessantly praying for the situation to be neutralised. I have managed to get a few pictures of the activities after the henious attack at west gate. Let’s keep our hopes up since already a multi agency action is in place to end the hostage situation.
We are in ardent prayer that this kind of atrocity will not be tolerated here in our land again. By the time I publish this article there was still efforts to neutralise the situation at The westgate.
